Lauren Mowen

Heidi holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in nonprofit management from Case Western Reserve University's Mandel Center for Nonprofit Organizations. She is a Certified Fund Raising Executive and has raised over $11 million for nonprofits throughout Anchorage, Detroit, Cleveland, Toledo and Western Pennsylvania.
She has served as a Trained and Approved Consultant for the Standards for Excellence program since 2013. PANO's Standards for Excellence program offers tools and resources to empower Community Benefit Organizations (nonprofits) to meet the highest standards of nonprofit governance, management and operations.
After living out of state for 15 years, Heidi returned to her hometown of Indiana, Pennsylvania and established Keystone Fundraising Solutions in 2011. She and her husband, John Buckshaw, reside in White Township.

Incorporated in April 2011, Keystone Fundraising Solutions is registered as professional fundraising counsel within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a member of both the Indiana County and Alle Kiski Strong Chambers of Commerce and the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations.
As a team, we agree to abide by the applicable code of ethics of the Association of Fundraising Professionals as well as emulate PANO's Standards for Excellence accountability code which consists of six guiding principles and twenty-seven topic areas that outline best practices and legal components of nonprofit operations.

Lauren is a graduate from Liberty University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Science. She recently relocated to Indiana with her husband and son Elliott for her husband’s job.
She previously lived in the Washington DC area and worked for the Federal Government as a Contract Specialist/Contracting Officer. During the course of her career, Lauren supported the acquisition branches of the US Coast Guard (USCG), Office of Procurement Operations (OPO) at Department of Homeland Security Headquarters, and the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). She also supported the acquisition department with the National Institute of Health (NIH) and Department of Interior (DOI) working on Research and Development (R&D) Contracts for supplies and services.
Lauren now utilizes her vast experience in acquisition to write and develop grant proposals and assist nonprofit organizations in their pursuit to secure grant funds to support their programs.
In addition to working with KFS, Lauren enjoys being a busy mom, spending time with her family, shopping, thrifting/antiquing and exploring new places.
